In Imo Unarmed women chase Fulani herdsmen out of community

Women in a farm.

They called themselves together and held a meeting to brainstorm on what to do to curb the wicked actions of the Fulani herdsmen.

The Fulani herdsmen certainly met their match in Nekede and Ihiagwa communities, both in Imo state.
Vanguard reports that the herdsmen and their cows always destroyed crops in the farmlands in those areas.

The women in the communities were heartbroken when they saw how their hard work was trampled upon and destroyed.

Reports say they called themselves together and held a meeting to brainstorm on what to do to curb the wicked actions of the Fulani herdsmen.

They came up with a brilliant idea that involved spreading red hot chilli pepper on their farmland, knowing that cows cannot withstand the hotness of the pepper.

The Fulani herdsmen who came back to the farmland as usual to let their cows graze on the farmlands, got the greatest surprise of their lives.

They lost 15 cows that day, and since then, they never returned to graze on the farmlands in those areas.

About 40 people were reported dead in Enugu State after an attack by Fulani herdsmen in Uzo- Uwani Local Government Area.

The commissioner of police in Enugu state, Nwodibo Ekechukwu was redeployed by the Inspector-General of police, Solomon Arase, following the attacks.
