BRITISH SINGER ADELE SIGNS RECORD-BREAKING DEAL WITH SONY MUSIC

At the top of her game, Adele has been breaking records left and right this year with the release of her third album, 25.

Sony Music has taken notice, offering her a hefty £90 million contract, poaching her from XL, the independent British label she signed to at 19 years old.

British singer Adele has penned what may be the biggest recording contract in history as she signed with Sony Music.

Adele had previously been with British record label XL records since she began her career, and following the contract’s expiration, signed with Sony Music in a mega deal worth a reported £90m (N44.1bn). The deal had reportedly been completed since last year, and was brokered by Adele’s manager, Jonathan Watkins.
