British beauty therapist 'was murdered in honour killing on trip to Pakistan because she married outside her family'

The husband of a British beauty therapist who died in Pakistan has claimed she was the victim of an ‘honour killing’ for marrying a man outside the family.
Samia Shahid, 28, who was originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire, died while visiting relatives in her ancestral Punjab village of Pandori on Wednesday.
She was buried in a village graveyard following an immediate post-mortem in which local police claimed to have found no visible injuries or signs of violence on her body.

Lagos landlord kills tenant of four months(Photo)

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a landlord, Gbade Metibemu, for allegedly stabbing his tenant of four months, Bright Abraham, to death on Apollo Street in the Makoko area of the state.
 PUNCH Metro learnt that Metibemu attacked the 35-year-old Abia State indigene with a knife for refusing to vacate his plank apartment after a week-long disagreement.

Our correspondent was told that the suspect had warned the victim to stop soiling the slum with the faeces of his baby.

Dr Dre was detained by police after authorities responded to a call  by a man who alleged the billionaire music mogul brandished a firearm at him during a heated verbal exchange.

The call was made by a man who was stopped in his vehicle in front of Dre's  Malibu's residence. "He said a male at the residence ordered him to leave and produced a handgun. The alleged victim said he drove away after seeing the handgun."

An aspiring rapper shots himself in the face in a bid to launch his music career in a shocking video.
Kasper Knight posted the horrifying footage on Facebook ,hoping the clip would go viral .It has now garnered over one million views.
It shows the foolhardy filmmaker press a gun against his cheek and pull the trigger without hesitation, blowing a hole into the side of his face.
 Knight explained that he originally wanted to perform the stunt for a music video, but no cameraman would film it.
He says: "I don't give a f*** about nothing anymore."

Policemen attached to the Sapele Police Station, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, have arrested a 54-year old man,  Mr. John Onose, for allegedly defiling a seven-year-old girl.  Onose is said to be an aide to the Delta House of Assembly Speaker, Monday Igbuya.
SaharaReporters learned that Onose, on Tuesday, allegedly lured the victim, a KG2 pupil, to a bush close to his home at Fovie Street, Sapele, and raped her.

Rio: Russia Escapes Blanket Doping Ban

The International Olympic Committee’s decision not to ban Russia from the Rio Games over state-run doping left international sports leaders divided on Monday, less than two weeks before the opening ceremony.

Seeking to justify Sunday’s decision, IOC president Thomas Bach said an outright ban would trample the rights of clean Russian athletes who are hoping to compete at the upcoming Games.

Individual sports federations will have primary responsibility for determining every Russian athlete’s eligibility for Rio, the IOC executive said.
