The name 'NIGERIA'

Nigeria gained independence partially from the british colony on the 1st of october 1969,
But it was not totally independent until the declaration of independence was signed on 1963.
The name Nigeria is derived from the word 'NIGER'

Today marks the 55th year of Nigeria's independence from the British colony .
On the 1st of October 1960, Nigeria became an independent country.
